TEA @ SCAD is the first official college chapter of the Themed Entertainment Association, the leading organization in the themed entertainment industry. I began attending during my first week at college and have dedicated the past four years to helping the club grow. Through countless hours of scheduling events, documenting meetings, and creating promotional materials, our small club grew from ten passionate individuals into more than forty active members. I was first elected to the board as an Activities Director, where I was in charge of recruiting guest speakers and planning out meeting activities. In that role, and now as vice president, I’ve discovered a deep passion for helping others explore career pathways in themed entertainment and gain a stronger understanding of immersive experiences. Mentoring members, connecting them with industry professionals, and creating opportunities for hands-on learning has allowed me to actively support their professional growth while deepening my own commitment to the field. As the name implies, The Biweekly Queue is TEA@SCAD’s biweekly newsletter published to inform students about various topic in the themed entertainment industry. Each officer has their own section, so I use my own column to highlight local experiences or diverse voices. Check out my 2026 articles below (The Importance of Positive Representation in Themed Entertainment, Savannah Surprises: Pirates’ Plunder, and TEA@SCAD Participates in TMTDC 2025)!
