I am a storyteller by heart. I fell in love with the art of oral storytelling at a very young age, and now I am pursuing a career in immersive storytelling through the use of visuals. Communal storytelling is more important than ever, but its history is rarely addressed. Although storytelling is such a prominent tool of communication for both people and brands today, the marginalized groups that created and adapted storytelling in different forms are often left out of the conversation. This pitch for a new cultural center in California aims to amplify marginalized voices while teaching others about how modern storytelling came to be.
