In the fall, I was asked to make a proof-of-concept pitch deck for a potential cooking show set in Savannah, Georgia. This show would cater to a younger demographic, so the cast needed to reflect the viewership. I remember watching children’s cooking shows when I was younger, but I would always feel tense while watching them because of the harsh environment the young chefs were placed in. I aimed to create a more welcoming show that would encourage participants to embrace the magic and community of cooking rather than emphasize the competition aspect. As a result, the sets are fantastical and arranged in a way that promotes collaboration. After all, the real magic is in the connections made between people!
